About the event
Wassail - (\ˈwä-səl)
from the Anglo-Saxon greeting Wæs þu hæl, meaning “be in good health.” A traditional English cider making ceremony and celebration of the cider orchard.
Join us on Twelfth Night (January 5) for a bonfire and an evening of merriment in the orchard.
Festivities begin at dark (5:30 pm) and will involve walking across the uneven terrain of the orchard out to a waiting bonfire, so wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Around the fire, you will enjoy a warm mulled cider and join in the traditional wassailing ceremony. As the fire dies or hunger strikes, you may head back to the tasting room where a piping hot English dinner of Shepherd's Pie will be ready for you, accompanied by a fresh pint of cider at the bar.
Tickets for this event are $35 and include:
32 ounce swing-top bomber of wassail cider
Half-pint wassailing glass
Delicious meal of Shepherd's Pie
Pint of cider at the bar
